Bright Sun Candles

Bright Sun Candles

Bright Sun Candles are all-natural soy wax candles. We hand-pour them in recyclable tins and recycled wine and oil bottles in St. Paul, MN. Our candles are crafted with high-quality soy wax, therapeutic-grade essentials oils, metal-free wicks and no dyes. Soy candles burn twice as long as paraffin and emit less soot. Soy wax is also a renewable resource, unlike paraffin, which is derived from petroleum. Recently, we started making crayons from recycled crayons and soy wax. They're a fun way to be creative and sustainable at the same time. Bright Sun Candles are priced from $3.25 to $21, depending on size. Our most popular size burns for 25 hours and costs $8. Sarah Ford Book Cover

Sarah Ford, Author

Apparently I Know Who Satan Is: My Fight Against Maturity and Other Irritating Social Norms is a collection of humorous essays based on the belief that the gap between appearance and reality is wide at least in part because we so rarely choose our costumes wisely, if we get to choose them at all. Early stories in the collection illustrate how growing up as a girl can have a lot less to do with the trademark fascination with boys than with delusion, irreverence, and downright idiocy. Whether focused on the author’s life as a lefty in the South or as a lesbian parent and teacher in the North, the rest of the stories demonstrate irrefutably that once we’ve finally learned the hard lessons of adolescence, we grow up to find that life is every bit as strange as we were originally led to believe.
